i am guessing that you can not answer this question so i'll look elsewhere where i can get a straight answer and not another run around. PS i'll not recommend this site to any of my electronic friends. thank you for your valuable time in this matter |

A good lead/acid battery charger starts off (assuming a dead battery) in constant current mode and as the battery voltage rises, at a preset voltage level changes to constant voltage. The current will then slowly fall and at at preset low current level the charger switches back to constant current mode at a low "trickle charge" level to hold the battery charge. Based on this I think you would be asking for trouble if you simply connect a dc power supply without a programmed regulator to the battery. |
