Does anyone know what would happen if the cut off frequency of a LPF was lower than the HPF? I know the LPF has to be higher but i just dont understand why? Would the passband just allow a different range of frequencies to whats expected? |

You have the ideal tool to study this question in front of you---Circuit Lab, and its provision to implement the laplace block. Take look at https://www.circuitlab.com/circuit/jc7kpqgc4rkc/bandpass-filter2/ and try different values of tc1 anf tc2. It's quite interesting |
