How to control an element value for testing purposes

I am new to the lab.. 1. If I have a dc source ( as an example of an element). I need to provide a "range" of values to the element so I can see the effect for the "given" range. Example: dc source of 5 V , and I need to vary it from 3 to 5 increment of .5 volt and plot the results. 2. I specified an element, so I hope I can do the same thing to a resistor value , capacitor value ...etc. An example I can edit will be greatly appreciated.

Do these help?

The section on DC Sweep Simulation in:

https://www.circuitlab.com/docs/the-basics/

And some examples...
