I want to initialize a capacitor with a precharged condition of, let’s say... 3 microvolts. Within the context of the Berkeley SPICE family of simulators, it’s very straightforward... The capacitance parameter becomes “10m ic=3u” which represents a capacitor of 10 milli Farads possessing an initial condition of 3 microvolts. If I want to add equivalent series resistance, there is a separate entry window for that. I am grateful that the software, here, already possesses this feature yet lacks the ability for us to precharge our capacitors. If there is some method for accomplishing the initialization of charge placed upon capacitors, here, I’d appreciate someone filling me in with the details. Thanks. |
