Can I use an IRFZ48N transistor instead of an IRFZ44N?

You can replace the IRFZ44N with an IRFZ48N unless you are deeply concerned with the response time, around 15 to 20% slower (85ns versus 75ns, in the worst case for raise time, for exemple).
