custom OPAMP AOL gain

Hello! I would like to ask how is the AOL in the OPAMP customization. If it is defined as usual like voltage ratios then why do I place for instance AOL: 10 and I receive a voltage gain of 5. It seems to be always half of it. Is there anything that I do not understand also from how an OPAMP works? Thanks a lot!
