Voltage Controlled Sources

I've been looking around and can't seem to find any examples using voltage controlled voltage sources. Can someone please explain how to set up a VCVS or perhaps point me to an example?

Um ok well I think I've got it...

I think you just connect the dependent source as you would connect a normal voltage source. To specify the voltage upon which this dependent voltage source will depend (if that makes sense) you connect the + and - sticking out to the side of the dependent source to the voltage drop you wish to measure. If you wish to multiply the voltage measurement by a certain coefficient, you edit the "Gain" parameter in the dependent voltage source.

At least that seems to work for a really simple circuit. If someone could either confirm this or correct me, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks!

A VCVS has two input and two output terminals. The voltage across the input terminals is scaled by the "gain" K (in Volts/Volt) so that the voltage across the output terminals is the voltage across the inputs times K.

A VCCS has two input and two output terminals. The voltage across the input terminals is scaled by the "gain" K (in Amps/Volt) so that the current flowing between the output terminals is the voltage across the inputs times K.

The CCVS and CCCS are slightly harder to understand but operate in basically the same way except their control inputs are currents rather than voltages.
