LED on ?

it seems that the program does not indicate whether the LED is ON or not. or maybe, as just a first time user, i am not using it correctly.

what's the verdict ?

Welcome to CL.

You are correct.

If you want to check if an LED is ON, i.e. has current flowing through it, you need to probe the current through it.

Clearly, this applies not just to LEDs but to any component.
