Hello, I am new to CircuitLab, I find it surprising that it is not possible to freely draw new symbols we create. As of now, it seems only rectangular symbols are feasible at a "custom" level. When it comes to documenting designs, this is a very limiting issue, especially when you see that standard symbols for components as basic as a simple capacitor look so odd : the plates are indeed quite elongated and with very little spacing between them. I would have welcomed the option to create my own, as a replacement. Beyond that, it would be really helpful to be able to draw symbols of any shape, such as op amps with their feedback networks, possibly including transistors, etc... I desperately looked for a simple IC pad symbol (a small square) and could find none. Same thing for ESD protections, clamps, etc... Have a great day.
