how to find the known state when POR is ON.Generally we will assume the previous state of d ff is either 1 or 0.But how to know the exact state of d ff output when POR is ON.

The normal D-flop will power up in an indeterminate state.

But if you have arranged a POR it will Power On Reset, that is to say it is forced into Q=0 state for a short period after power up.

POR could be a system-wide line, or it could be done on selected D-flops by adding components to provide momentary reset on power-up.

Generally one uses POR as power-on reset, but there might be instances of power-on set.

Hope this is helpful. mike
