I want to load it and trace the input voltage to it. I am looking at the lock up characteristics of the DC-DC Converter. |

I am not sure what you mean by 'lock up'. If it is the over-current protection, this may be constant-current or fold-back. A professional product is most likely fold-back and the exact characteristic is specific to that product. http://www1.labvolt.com/publications/Exercises/90868-00_4-3.pdf Any model has to be specific to the Traco device. I suggest you might contact them for information. Alternatively reverse engineer their device to find the schematic and analyse that. |

Guessing again at what you mean by 'lockup', perhaps you have a whole computer which locks up and you are blaming the power supply? This may be unfair to the supply, computers do tend to have unexplained lockups, that is why they have watchdog timers.
