Summary

2V command control 24V with no inversion (both signal high or both low at the same time).

Description

2V command control 24V with no inversion (both signal high or both low at the same time).

An OpAmp with an amplification of 12 would do the same, but:

  • requires a rail_to_rail OpAmp or special provisions for the power supplied to the OpAmp
  • have more limited output maximum current (with common OpAmp).

It is assumed that the delay between the command and opening the PMOS, which is govern, in part, by the PullUp resistor, R, times the gate capacitance of the PMOS, is negligeable.

No provision is shown here for the case where the load is inductive (motor), but maybe required to handle back-emf.
