Please note that this circuit only works as an astable multivibrator because all of the CL Digital Elements have a fixed artificial hysteresis of 1V:

This circuit would only work in practice with Schmitt Trigger input logic gates such as the 74HC14 Hex Schmitt Trigger Inverter.

It will not work as an astable using normal non-Schmitt Trigger input gates.
