Summary

As a demo of behavioral voltage and current sources in CircuitLab, here's a simple model of the TL431 adjustable shunt voltage regulator.

Description

The current source I1 is a special "behavioral" source whose current is defined by an algebraic expression. In this case, it's a transconductance limited to be single-sided.

Run the DC Sweep simulation to see the TL431 as a voltage regulator!
