Summary

A circuit from a Forrest Mims III book. Comments welcome.

Description

I'm learning that real life LEDs of different colors have different properties. On the breadboard, I can't swap the green LED for the red LED. Circuit won't work. I can swap the red LED for a yellow one and the green LED for a blue one, though. I think I found that a white LED worked in place of the green one also.

In CircuitLab, with the switch open, I get almost equal current through both LEDs. Switch closed, only the green LED gets any meaningful current.
