Hi. I am working with electromagnet which has a resistance of about 100ohms. I want to put about 4amps through it. Could this be done with 4x 12v SLA 1.2ah battery’s? Or 6v 4.5ah sla battery’s? And if so how do I draw 1amp from each battery ? Cheers |

If you really want to put 4 amps though 100 ohms, you will need 400 volts and the wire will dissipate 1600 Watts. I see a lot of blue smoke followed by total meltdown. Doing this with your batteries may also display boiling electrolyte, and your sealed lead acid batteries may explode. Let me know when, I want to be at least two counties away. |

PS - The plural of battery is batteries. No apostrophe needed. |
