Can someone validate this for me?

This is a simple circuit which is meant for the Diode to be a standard phone charger at about 5v and 1a. The power source is 5 sets of 4 batteries in parallel. For a total of 12.8V and 54a coming from the battery pack. If there is an easier way to add a voltage and current please let me know. I am fairly new to circuit design so if there are any tips or people I should follow let me know.
