Not sure if this is the correct place to say this but I'm gonna say it anyway. This site rocks. I tried the demo and it was far superior to any other circuit simulator I'd tried previously. So much so that there was little hesitation required to sign up. I'm only a novice and I've learned more in 1 day from being able to tinker with Virtual Circuits than I have in two weeks of leaving help requests on electronics forums and having to decode the replies from elitists who just arrogantly assume I'm going to know every single complicated concept and terminology. Now for my question, how accurate is the LM358 op-amp simulation? I've had all manner of reports from other forums about input offset voltages, how close I can pull the output to the rail etc.. My lowest input offset voltage is 14mV, I understand the LM358 can go as low as 3mV? The Simulation seems to agree with this value and also allows me to pull the output up to 4.7V with a rail of 5V, someone on another forum said that I'd only get 3.5V from the output reliably but this simulation disagrees. Have I been fed a load of rot from these people on other forums, or is the simulation somewhat liberal? Many thanks, Marc |
