Please help with a switch circuit. Seems simple but difficult

I need a circuit to turn on a solenoid valve. Conditions are like this

  1. Turn on when the trigger (Touch) is on
  2. Turn off when trigger is gone
  3. Should not turn on even if the trigger is on

Thank you

Aren't (1) and (3) mutually exclusive?

Hello Signality,

Thank you very much for taking time to reply for the post.

I will explain what I want to do so it will be clear to you.

Want to collect rainfall samples on event basis. My sample collector will have a normally closed solenoid valve. When the rain is falling rainfall sensor will detect rain and open the valve so the rain water is guided to the collector. When the rain is over the valve should close and should not open even if another rainfall comes. After I recover the sample I can reset the circuit so it will be ready for the next rainfall event.

If you can provide me a solution for this I can collect an important set of data for my research.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Thank you
