Active Signal Splitter with Tone-Controls
Active signal splitter with separate tone-control on each Output Stage. Controls Include: Gain, Tone 1, Tone 2, Level 1, and Level 2. Normal Range with all controls at 50%: 10 Hz to 10 kHz. Suitable for 6/7/8-string guitar or 4/5/6-string bass. Range with all but Tone controls at 100%: 5 Hz to 100 kHz. Gains per Frequency with all controls at 50%: -3 dBV @ 6.3 Hz, +5 dBV from 40 Hz to 1 kHz, -3 dBV @ 10 kHz. Maximum Gain = +19 dBV @ 2.5 kHz with Tone at 100% but all other controls at 50%. Maximum Gain = +23 dBV @ 100 Hz with Tone at 0% but all other controls at 50%. The specified IC was chose to ensure clean operation at any control setting. Power-supply not shown. Requires a regulated dual-polarity DC supply providing +-9VDC or +-12VDC or +-15VDC at >= 40 mA of current. And though simulator verified, treat the circuit as experimental. Breadboard test before soldering.
