ThumbPot EECo Switch Part No 177676 Voltage Divider 10 position. It basically divides voltage IN (pin #8) in 10 steps, being 0 to 0.9
This Thumb wheel is a rotating potentiometer meant to be adjusted infrequently used as voltage divider. It is made by 5 precision resistors arranged in the following sequence: 4 + 2 + 1+ 2 + 1 = 10R. The result is a voltage divider of 10R with an adjustable slide in 10 steps from R to 9R value.
Thumb Wheels can be cascaded in 3 or 4 digits for precision dividers, being values of
0000 to 9999 = 10,000 steps
1 Digit 10R= 10000 ohms (Most Significant Digit) 1 Digit 10R= 1000 ohms 1 Digit 10R= 100 ohms 1 Digit 10R= 10 ohms
000 to 999 = 1,000 steps
1 Digit 10R= 10000 ohms (Most Significant Digit) 1 Digit 10R= 1000 ohms 1 Digit 10R= 100 ohms
