Richter Original 6-stage real-tube guitar preamp using circuits from the 1965 RCA Receiving Tube Manual # RC-24, p. 544 and 545; two "Low-Distortion Preamplifier", one "2-Stage Input Amplifier", and one "Bass and Treble Tone-Control Amplifier". Controls Include: Input Level, Bass, Mid-Center, Treble, Drive 1, Drive 2, Drive 3, and Volume. Meant for 6-string electric guitar. Circuit not intended to provide much gain but rather to give overdriven tube distortion like that of an American-made boutique guitar amplifier. Experimental circuitry. No simulation. Untested design, though based on proven circuits in the RCA Manual. Frequency response and overall gain must be determined during breadboard testing. Power-supply not shown. Both tube types were designed to operate using a single +12VDC power-supply for the plates and heaters (originally a car battery). Example Supply: 12V DC 1000 mA Regulated Switching Power Adapter, Product ID: 798. $8.95 each. From the AdaFruit website. https://www.adafruit.com
