Fuzz Circuit with 4 Mixable Fuzz Bands plus Direct Signal
Fuzz circuit with 4 separate resonant filters, each with its own shunt-type diode-fuzz array, providing 4 mixable Fuzz voices with different frequency-band centers; all also mixable with the clean input signal, labeled the "Direct" signal. Total frequency range is from 36 Hz to 8 kHz with all controls at 50%, but the range expands in both directions with all controls set > 50%. Controls Include: Input Level, Input Gain, Drive, High 1 Fuzz level w. 10 kHz Boost/Cut, High 2 Fuzz level w. 2.5 kHz Boost/Cut, Low 1 Fuzz level w. 500 Hz Boost/Cut, Low 2 Fuzz level w. 250 Hz Boost/Cut, Output Gain, and Volume. Maximum gain = +22.5 dBV @ 1 kHz with all controls at 50%, but which doubles with all controls at 100%. Do not use the circuit with all controls at 100% except as a worst-case scenario while breadboard testing. The circuit is suitable for 6/7-string guitar (but not for 8-string guitar or bass-guitar). Power-supply not shown. Requires a regulated dual-polarity DC supply providing +-9VDC or +-12VDC or +-15VDC at >= 80 mA of current. Note: Higher supply voltage results in lower op-amp noise. And while simulator verified, treat the circuit as experimental. Breadboard test before soldering.
