When a controlled source's output is connected back to its input in any way, we have to solve the entire system while considering the effects of this feedback.
This example is from the Dependent Source Feedback chapter of Ultimate Electronics Book. It's solved in detail on that page. Changing the gain of the VCVS1 element is also informative.
