2-Stage Input Preamp Circuit for Dream-Rig Project
Input preamp circuit for Dream-Rig project. Two stages of gain using op-amps Controls Include: Drive, Gain, Tone, and Volume. Power-supply not shown. Frequency Range 50 Hz to 20 kHz with all controls at 50%. Suitable for 6/7-string guitar. Maximum Gain = +20 dBV @ 1 kHz with all controls at 50%, and up to twice that with all controls at 100%. Power-supply not shown. Requires a regulated dual-polarity DC supply providing +-9VDC or +-12VDC or +-15VDC at >= 20 mA of current. Note: Higher supply voltage results in lower op-amp noise. Experimental circuitry. Breadboard test before committing to a soldered build.
