150W Solid-State Stage-Amp for Sound Reinforcement
150-watt RMS power-amplifier intended for sound reinforcement, such as self-powered side-wash stage-amp or monitor. Uses two TDA7294V power-amplifier ICs operated in bridged mode. Controls Include: Drive and Volume. No tone controls. No fuzz, distortion, or other effects. Intended for sound-reinforcement in the range from bass to upper midrange. Suitable as a slave-amp for 6/7/8-string guitar and 4/5/6-string bass. [Not recommended for full-range or tweeter PA applications.] Frequency Range 26 Hz to 4 kHz with all controls at 50%, or 20 Hz to 8 kHz with all controls at 100%. Maximum Gain = +38 dBV @ 160 Hz with all controls at 50%, or +50 dBV with all controls at 100%. Power-supply not shown. Requires three DC supplies; one regulated dual-polarity +-15VDC @ >= 20mA for the op-amps, and two unregulated dual-polarity +-27VDC @ 2A for the power-amp ICs. And though simulator verified, treat the circuit as experimental. Breadboard test before soldering. Example Speakers: For PA applications, any 8-ohm woofer or midrange driver rated 150W RMS or higher. For 4/5/6-string bass, any 8-ohm 10", 12", 15", or 18" woofer recommended for bass-guitar and rated 150W RMS or higher. For 6/7/8-string guitar, any 8-ohm 10" or 12" guitar speaker rated 150W RMS or higher. Example Online Speaker Source: https://www.parts-express.com
