Active and Passive Unity-Gain Effects Loops
Examples of active and passive unity-gain effects-loops that can be placed in the signal-path between any two stages of a circuit. A single DPDT switch is used to interrupt the normal signal-path and route the signal through an effect (or two or more in-series). Not a quiet switch. For live performances, the switch labeled FXLsw must be kept in the Enable position and all effects left energized but with their footswitches on or off, as desired. Then the effects footswitches are used to turn individual effects on or off during a live performance. Untested designs. Not simulator verified. Experimental circuitry. Power-supplies not shown. The Buffers require regulated single or dual polarity supplies at 9, 12, or 15 VDC. Consult the datasheet for Buffers to be used. Op-amps configured as buffers or voltage-followers can substitute.
