High-Gain Guitar Preamp with 2-Band Tone and Treble Boost
High-gain guitar preamp with 2-way active tone, center-frequency control, and treble boost. Controls Include: Drive, Gain, Treble Boost, Bass, Center, Treble, and Volume. Frequency Range: 60 Hz to 20 kHz with all controls at 50%. Designed specifically for 6-string electric guitar. Example gains per frequency with all controls at 50% are; +3.4 dBV @ 100 Hz, +27 dBV @ 1.6 kHz, +11 dBV @ 10 kHz. Maximum possible gain is >= +50 dBV with all controls at 100%. Power-supply not shown. Requires a regulated dual-polarity DC supply providing +-9VDC or +-12VDC or +-15VDC at >= 40 mA of current. And though simulator verified, treat the circuit as experimental. Breadboard test before soldering.
