Richter Original experimental 12V-Princeton preamp for guitar. Based on Fender 5D6 Princeton guitar amplifier clone intended as a preamp. Modifications include different tubes and some circuit changes. Controls Include: Drive, Tone, Gain, Feedback, and Volume. Uses one dual triode and one pentode, both designed to be operated using a +12VDC supply voltage on plates and heaters. The circuit is not meant to provide much gain but rather to approximate the sound of the Princeton, but without an output transformer or a speaker. Use as a preamp. Power-supply not shown. Requires a regulated single-polarity DC supply providing12VDC @ >= 500 mA of current. Experimental circuitry. Untested design, though based on the proven Princeton circuit. No simulation. Frequency response and overall gain must be determined during breadboard testing. House project in a grounded metal enclosure.
