Summary

Behavioural Thyristor.

Simulate > Time Domain > Run Time-Domain Simulation

Does not simulate correctly with respect to anode holding current.

Description

Behavioural Thyristor.

Simulate > Time Domain > Run Time-Domain Simulation

The 10m value in the expression for I1 represents the minimum gate current required for turn-on.

The 100m value in the expression for I1 represents the anode holding current, i.e. minimum anode current required to maintain conduction.

Does not simulate correctly with respect to anode holding current.

You can find the same thyristor circuit - which simulates correctly - for LTspiceIV, in:

thyristor_simple_behavioural_01.7z

here:

https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B2wonnsWWfTXOTVmNDU2Y2MtYzJlZi00M2MyLWExZDAtM2JhY2NiNGI4ODBi/edit

Unzip* both files to the same directory, open in LTspice and then click on the running man icon.
