Modified Boss DS-1 Distortion Circuit

Modified Boss DS-1 distortion circuit for 6-string guitar in standard tuning. Controls Include: Input Gain, Input Tone, Drive, Fuzz enable switch, Fuzz Symmetry switches, Fuzz Depth, Output Gain, Output Tone, and Volume. Modifications: two gain stages instead of one, Schottky diodes instead of standard silicon types, and change of component values to optimize response and increase gain. For extra distortion, the JFET-input op-amps can be overdriven. Range: 63 Hz to 25 kHz. Maximum gain = +22.4 dBV @ 1 kHz with all controls at 50%, or +56.7 dBV @ 4 kHz with all except the tone controls and the fuzz depth control at 100%. Suitable for stomp-box or rack-mount applications. The battery can be replaced by a regulated single-polarity +9V DC power-supply providing >= 20 mA of available current.
