Diode Fuzz Circuit with 6-Band Equalizer
Hard-clipping diode fuzz circuit with fully active 6-band equalizer. Controls Include: Input Gain, Fuzz enable switch, Fuzz Symmetry Switches (SSW), Fuzz Depth, Bass, Mid-Bass, Low-Mid, Mid, High-Mid, Treble, and Volume. Fuzz is produced by a silicon diode array. With fuzz off, the circuit will function as a clean 6-band equalizer. Range at or above 0 dBV is from 28 Hz to 20 kHz, with emphasis on mids and highs. Suitable for 6/7/8-string guitar or 4/5/6-string bass. Filter center-frequencies are 370Hz, 1.6kHz, 4.8kHz, 6.7kHz, 9kHz, and 12kHz. Intended for rack-mount applications. Power-supply not shown. Requires regulated dual-polarity +-12V DC power-supply providing at least 100 mA of available current. Though simulator verified, treat the circuit as experimental. Breadboard test it before committing to a soldered build. And house completed project in a grounded metal enclosure, to prevent EMF interference.
