Input Stages for Hexaphonic Guitar Preamp
Input Section for Hex-Preamp circuit intended only for a 6-string electric guitar. Accepts 6 inputs from a SubSix hex-pickup made by Submarine Pickups. https://submarinepickup.com Cost: $389.00 each. Also includes one extra channel for a normal guitar signal, plus an auxiliary channel. Each channel has its own gain control and a clean output. [The eight Input and output symbols represent 1/4" female phone-jack connectors.] They also each have an output going to an 8-channel mixer that is part of the overall Hex-Preamp design. The two other sections are labeled "Mixer Section" and "Output Section" at this website. The Output Section processes the full-mix signal from the Mixer Section. It includes 2-band tone, a fuzz option, and output signal booster. The power-supply is not shown. Requires one regulated dual-polarity +-15 VDC power-supply providing up to 80 mA of current for this Section alone. Experimental Circuitry! Fully breadboard test before committing to a soldered build. Summary: This circuit is one of three for a Hex-Preamp design, not counting a dedicated power-supply. All circuits are available at this website. Or see the complete Hex-Amp System under "Amplifiers" heading at https://kurtusrichtersblog.com .
