Overdrive with Hard-Clip Fuzz and 3-Band Tone
Overdrive circuit with hard-clipping diode-fuzz and Fender-style 3-band tone-stack. Controls Include: Input Gain, Drive 1, Fuzz enable switch, Fuzz symmetry switches (two, with 2 settings each), Drive 2, Bass, Mid, Treble, Stack Sum, and Volume. Range above 0 dBV is from 63 Hz to > 20 kHz. Designed for 6-string electric guitar in standard tuning. [Not recommended for 7/8-string guitar or bass-guitar.] Fuzz is from standard silicon diodes and the specified JFET-input op-amps will provide solid-state distortion in addition to the fuzz if overdriven. Maximum gain = +36 dBV @ 6.3 kHz with all controls at 50%, or +67 dBV @ 6.3 kHz with all except the tone controls at 100%. Power-supply not shown. Requires a single-polarity regulated +12V DC supply providing >= 25 mA of current. Though simulator verified, treat the circuit as experimental. Breadboard test before committing to a soldered build.
