A 'voltage follower' from neutral, driving the 'ground', may help. Else each 5v output sees 10k in series with its load.

Cheers, yeah I just wanted something simple without the use of an opamp. It would probably work but you are right... Can you use any old junk op amp with a voltage follower?

Any opamp that can carry the current load you may need. Power companies long long ago, would wire two series wound motors in series with each other, then hook the shafts together, and the center tap would be neutral. When the load was unbalanced the motors would rotate one direction, if unbalanced from the other half the motors would rotate the other direction.

I drew a circuit to explain. Save it and I'll delete mine. https://www.circuitlab.com/circuit/q24wcc/obbardc-dual-rails/
