Multiple Notch-Filter Circuit with Clean Boost
Multiple notch-filter circuit with clean boost. Controls Include: Input Gain, Drive, 3 Notch Enable Switches, 3 Notch Range Switches, 9 Notch Frequency Switches, 3 Notch Depth Switches, Output Gain, and Volume. Three notches can be enabled simultaneously, or none. With no notch enabled, the circuit functions as a Clean Boost, providing maximum gain of +16 dBV @ 630 Hz with all controls at 50%, or +35 dBV @ 400 Hz with all controls at 100%. Notch Enable Switch imposes -6 dBV at notch frequency, though notch bandwidth is broad (meaning, filters work like tone-controls). Filter frequency ranges and individual notch frequencies are shown in the diagram. Circuit is suitable for 6/7/8-string guitar or 4/5/6-string bass. Power-supply not shown. Requires a regulated dual-polarity DC supply providing +-9VDC or +-12VDC or +-15VDC at >= 20 mA of current. Can be basis of a stomp-box or rackmount project. And while simulation verified, treat the circuit as experimental. Breadboard test it before committing to a soldered build.
