High-Gain MOSFET Fuzz Circuit 5
High-gain MOSFET fuzz circuit 5 for guitar. Uses two dual JFET-input op-amp ICs and two dual E-mode complementary MOSFET pairs; one P-channel one N-channel in the same package. Controls Include: Input Gain, Direct Drive, Fuzz 1 Gain, Fuzz 2 Gain, Fuzz Level, Tone Gain, Bass, Treble, Tone Trim, Output Gain, and Volume. The op-amps can be overdriven to add solid-state distortion to the fuzz sound. Range ab0ve 0 dBV is from 25 Hz to 25 kHz. Thus, the circuit is good for 6/7/8-string guitar or 4/5/6-string bass, with emphasis on mids. Maximum gain = +32 dBV @ 515 Hz with all controls at 50%. Circuit is suitable for stomp-box or rack-mount applications. The battery can be replaced by a regulated single-polarity +9V DC power-supply providing >= 50 mA of current. While simulator verified, treat the circuit as experimental. Breadboard test before committing to a soldered build.
