2-Voiced Fuzz w. 2-Band Tone and Overdrive
2-Voiced Fuzz circuit with 2-band Baxandall tone circuit including a mid Center control, and two separate outputs; Normal and Overdrive. Controls Include: Direct Drive, Gain, Fuzz Enable switch, Fuzz Type switch (A or B), Fuzz symmetry switches (four, with 2 settings each), Tone Drive, Bass, Center, Treble, Normal Volume, Overdrive Gain, and Overdrive Volume. The fuzz voices, A and B, are given by standard and Schottky diodes, respectively, in soft-clipping arrays. Symmetry switches set the harmonic content of the fuzz. Max gain ~ 20 dBV (Vo/Vi ~ 10) @ 300 Hz from Normal Output with all controls at 50%, or max gain ~ 25 dBV (Vo.Vi = 17.8) with Gain pot at 100% but all other controls 50%. Max gain = 41 dBV (Vo/Vi = 113.5) @ 160 Hz from Overdrive Output with all control settings at 50%, or 43.6 dBV (Vo/Vi = 151.4) with the Overdrive Gain control at 100%. Usable Range: 38 Hz to 5 kHz, with emphasis on lows. Recommended for 6/7/8-string guitar in standard tuning. Also good for 4-string bass (but not suitable for 5/6-string bass). Power-supply not shown. Requires a regulated dual-polarity supply giving one of the following: +-9VDC or +-12VDC or +-15VDC, providing >= 4 mA of available current per op-amp (e.g., 20 mA total).
