Clean Boost Circuit for Guitar or Bass.
Clean boost circuit for guitar. Maximum possible total circuit gain of +42 dBV with all controls at 100%. Controls include: Input Level, Gain, and Volume. No tone-controls. Frequency Range at >= unity-gain: 20 Hz to 15 kHz. Gains in dBV per frequency with all controls at 50%, and using a 1V peak 1kHz input signal, are; 0dBV @ 20Hz, +10.4dBV @ 40Hz, +18dBV @ 100Hz, +21dBV from 250Hz 1.6kHz, +17dBV @ 4kHz, +8dBV @ 10kHz, 0dBV @ 1kHz, and -3dBV @ 20kHz. Suitable for stomp-box or rack-mount applications. Power-supply not shown. Requires regulated dual-polarity DC supply providing one of the following: +-9VDC, +-12VDC, or +-15VDC. Allow >= 4 mA of current per op-amp. FET-input dual op-amp IC chosen for super-low noise, high-fidelity operation. Though simulator verified, treat circuit as experimental. Breadboard test before committing to soldered build.
