30-Watt RMS Guitar Amplifier with 2-Band Tone

Description

30W RMS guitar amplifier with 2-band tone. Controls Include: Input Level, Gain, Bass, Treble, Drive, and Volume. No fuzz, distortion, or other effects. This is a clean solid-state guitar-amp. Range at or above 0 dBV is from 84 Hz to 10 kHz. Ideal for 6-string electric guitar in standard tuning. [Not for 7/8-string guitar or bass-guitar.] Maximum gain = +24.7 dBV (Vo/Vi = 17.2) @ 1 kHz with all controls at 50%, or +47.4 dBV (Vo/Vi = 234) @ 1.6 kHz with all controls at 100%. Power-supplies not shown. Requires one regulated dual-polarity supply providing +-12VDC @ >= 40 mA for the op-amps, and one unregulated dual-polarity supply providing +-25VDC @ 1A for the power-amp IC. Treat circuit as experimental. Breadboard test before committing to a soldered build. And house in a grounded metal enclosure. Use an actual guitar speaker rated >= 30W RMS into 8 ohms. Example: Celestion G10 Creamback, 45W, 8-ohm, from www.parts-express.com , #294-2212, $125.00.
