AA battery indicator circuit design

Hi i am working on AA battery charger design and i am new to the electronics. Could anyone give me any ideas about how to design a AA battery indicator circuit. (When one AA battery is being charged, the Red Led is on; when the battery is fully charged, the Red LED is off and the Green LED is on). Thanks a lot.

@qinkaonimu,

Welcome to CL.

You need to do some reading ...

Google is your friend here.

@signality Thanks a lot. I learnt a lot form the reading. I guess i am going to use one of the IC to build the circuit. I have a question: I am trying to build a solar powered AA battery charger. That means the voltage source will be DC. Is LTC4060 all right to be used in my design?

Look at the silicon vendor's websites for parts, datasheets and apps notes.

Lots of info around there on solar NiMh and Li-ion battery charging.
