Combining circuits

I have more than one circuit simulated, being parts of a more complex circuit. Is there a way I can add one of these to the other without having to re-draw manually? I.E. can I copy and paste somehow?

This describes how to do it:

https://www.circuitlab.com/docs/faq/#q_save_custom_models

Don't forget to edit any labels to avoid accidentally connecting nets together because they have the same names but different functions in the two circuits; e.g. one have a vcc = 9V and another has a vcc = 5V.

Thanks for that comment, but my question really was how to copy from one circuit and paste into another; I was expecting after that to sort out the position, labels and interconnections.

OK, but why don’t you simply try that? ;-)

Hmmm, @Signality ’s link did not explicitly explain how to copy (select items using the mouse, e.g. drag a rectangle around, use right click menu to copy), change to another CL window (e.g. menu “File” ---> “New” or switching tabs) and finally use the right click “Paste” command.

Seems this is a missing part of CL’s documentation?

Or too close to be seen?

:-)

OK, sorry, found out myself:

Because “Paste” (and ctrl+v) doesn’t work any more (at least today, don’t know about yesterday).

My browser: Safari 5.1.7

I sometimes use CL with a not fully CL compliant browser (rekonq in Kubuntu and occasionally Midori).

Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V doesn't work in that so I use the Copy and Paste options from the Edit Menu in the Editor window.

Sancho_Ps description of the drag and highlight thing should still work though.
