I am working on an electric scooter. I have two new 12v batteries, individually they test fine. When I test them together at the connection, I only get 5 volts? When I first hooked them up and turned the scooter on the reset button popped out. I reset and it does it again? So I don't know if this was the cause of the battery issue? Thanks |

Series? Parallel? Polarity? Circuit? |

Can you describe what you mean by, "I test them together at the connection." What exactly does that mean. It seems obvious that you have hooked them up wrong or the reset button wouldn't have popped out. You should provide a schematic and be more detailed. For example, what reset button. Where is it on your scooter. Is that "reset button" really a circuit breaker. You are probably not using the right word or that "reset button." It's probably a circuit breaker and by pushing the button you are resetting the breaker. |

one possible reason: one battery is good, another one is bad though the bad one checked by meter is 12v. |
