When I add a part, example LED, how do the parameters shown on the device's data sheet translate to the device's Edit Parameters in circuitLab? |

Edit Parameters has: I_S = 1e-9 A R_S = 3 ohms N:3 TT:1e-15s (Where do I find these on the device data sheet?) |

Hi @APmckinney0383, have you already seen this discussion https://www.circuitlab.com/forums/general-electronics-discussion/topic/6vu3zs7w/how-to-add-an-anonymous-led/ which talks about the general process of curve-fitting to find these parameters for an LED? The parameters are NOT going to be found on a datasheet. Especially for LEDs, which are very loosely specced. Instead, we curve-fit, tweaking I_S, N, and R_S until this DC Sweep looks similar to your datasheet. For example: Try this simulation, and then tweak those three parameters until it matches a curve from your datasheet. |
